Admittedly, it looks a little different than on the front page. But maybe that's how I see my little studio under the roof: a distant observation post. |
Sound engineer was my first job in the long radio days that are now behind me. In the 70s we had no idea how convenient and space-saving it would one day be to run a recording studio. |

At the very beginning......in the early 70s, I played with my parents' tape recorder. The Polish "Unitra ZK 246" had the option of copying track 1 to track 2 (and vice versa) and adding something to it. Pure mono, of course, and the quality decreased from copy to copy. I tried small scetches with several voices and my little transistor organ. Each time you had to tune each note with the screwdriver. (It's best to turn the vibrato all the way up.) I had my first home studio corner in my one-room apartment in the early 1990s: a DOS PC in which I was able to record the MIDI signals from a Roland keyboard and sound module. (picture on the left). |
And today......I enjoy the fact that I have every possible acoustic-technical option available to me for my hobby. Everything that is created in terms of music and radio play in my small studio can be heard here for free. Maybe it's not just a joy to have done it. And joy is the only meaningful thing in the world. |
